The Smudge was living in "the big city" sometime in 2010.
He recorded a whole piss bunch of albums, and we picked
this one, the "I'm Poison" EP, to start off a short burst of
these unsung releases. It includes harmonica doodles,
pianoodles, and words. This is a drunk, smoke saturated
blip of the wild, the weird, and The Smudge.
This is The Glue, reviewing The Smudge. I dig it. It's more experimental than the average noise offering, and more akin to the kind of rough music I plan on going back to as soon as I can save up fiddy bone for a new keyboard. Much as I love screeching walls of feedback and an electrosalad of analog and digital wailing (and the concomitant microphone and junk can abuse which is a staple of the sound output of Yours Truly), I must admit it is nice to hear something SUBTLE and full of thought. Loves Ya, The Glue...Four skulls, because it should really be longer.
